A Message From The Principal We have just ended Week 7! It is the longest length of time we have been at school since the start of the year. We can see that the students are getting tired and adjusting to the ‘new normal’. Four weeks of the year to go! Four very exciting weeks and we look forward to celebrating end of year events including our Year 6 Graduation. Covid-19 Update Please see this letter from the Department of Education regarding the latest changes. Please note that there are not many changes to PRIMARY SCHOOL restrictions [...]

A Message From The Principal What a week it has been. It has been wonderful to have all the students back. We are so proud of our Year 3-6 students for adapting to wearing masks indoors. We have received the full range of weather this week – this did not stop our Junior School Council from selling out of Zooper Doopers on the first day! COVID Safe Operations and Visitors to Schools As previously communicated, students in Grade 3 and above are required to wear face masks, indoors while at school. Face masks are also strongly recommended [...]
A Message From The Principal CHANGES TO COVID RULES As everyone knows there are more changes that come into effect on MONDAY 1st NOVEMBER. Below we will outline some of the key changes that will impact the Bellaire Community OR things that will remain the same. FACE MASKS – are still required to be worn inside by year 3 – 6 students and staff / visitors into the school building. Face masks are not required to be worn outdoors. COVID SAFE CLEANING – remains in place. VISITORS ON THE SCHOOL GROUNDS – parents are able to enter the [...]
A Message From The Principal What a week. We welcomed back all students on site today – the first time in what seems like forever! The staff are so excited to have all the students back on site, as I am sure you all are. DROP OFF AND PICK UP We are hoping to utilise all entry points to the school to ensure parents can maintain social distancing during drop off and pick up times. We would prefer not to have to stagger end of day pick up times however this may be something we need to [...]
A Message From The Principal Covid has continued to impact the world - and in turn the community at Bellaire PS. Covid fatigue is real, it has been impacting everyone, including our students. It has been fantastic to have our Prep - 2 students back on site. Our year 3 - 6 students and teachers are still undertaking Remote Learning. Our teachers are working hard, offering and undertaking individual and group support to different students and families and trying to ensure our students are not only continuing with their learning but also ensuring they are focusing on the students [...]
A Message From The Principal What a term it has been! It has been an unsettled term on lockdown / Remote Learning, back on site, lockdown / Remote Learning, back on site – then only half the school back on-site. I could not be prouder of how the staff at Bellaire PS have handled this term and how the community have supported the school and staff during the Remote Learning period. It’s been tough, tough on everyone (and still is), however the way the students, families and community have come together during this time is to be celebrated! THANK [...]
A Message From The Principal Welcome to SPRING! We have had some beautiful weather to start spring and hopefully more to come in the future! I hope everyone was able to get outside and enjoy the sunshine while it lasted. We are at the end of Week 8 of Term 3. As this is written, no return date has been set in stone, with a decision to be made at a later date dependent on the trends over the next few days and week. While the news isn’t entirely surprising given the rising case numbers in Melbourne and local [...]
A Message From The Principal We have just completed our first, uninterrupted week of Term 3 and we ended it with a wonderful celebration for book week! It was fantastic to see all of the amazing costumes, including the teachers. JUNIOR SWIMMING Next week we begin our swimming program for our Year 1 and 2 students. Information regarding the program has been sent to families via Seesaw. If you have any questions regarding the swimming program please contact your classroom teacher. DROPPING OFF STUDENTS We understand the traffic around the school is extremely busy at [...]
A Message From The Principal RETURN TO SCHOOL We were excited to have the students return to onsite on Wednesday. It was lovely to see their smiling faces – we could have done without the rain and hail right-on pick-up time! PARENT / TEACHER INTERVIEWS Our teachers have relayed how it was fantastic to speak to parents via Webex on Wednesday afternoon. It was disappointing that these could not be held in person, however it is a reflection of the times and last-minute adjustments to ensure we can still provide these opportunities to our community. [...]
A Message From The Assistant Principal Once again, thank you to everyone in our school community for your efforts this term. We encourage you to enjoy a restful break and we hope you have some time planned away with family and friends – perhaps even in warmer climates! Take care, and if you are getting away, please travel safely. SCHOOL REPORTS We have had a few parents raise the issue of not being able to see the school reports as published. Please try the following: Log Out of App, and Log In again. Follow the steps as [...]
