A Message From The Assistant Principal Once again, thank you to everyone in our school community for your efforts this term. We encourage you to enjoy a restful break and we hope you have some time planned away with family and friends – perhaps even in warmer climates! Take care, and if you are getting away, please travel safely. SCHOOL REPORTS We have had a few parents raise the issue of not being able to see the school reports as published. Please try the following: Log Out of App, and Log In again. Follow the steps as [...]

A Message From The Principal Congratulations to all Bellaire Primary School families on the seamless transition into remote learning and thankfully, our return to face to face learning at school. I greatly appreciate the support and feedback from families over the last week and I am incredibly proud of our teachers and support staff who have all assisted remotely and with on-site supervision here at school. Thank you also to the fantastic response to our remote learning surveys (results linked in the image to the right). This has also been sent as an email on Sentral. Congratulations to all [...]
A Message From The Principal We are half way through Term 2 – the term is flying by! As always, there are lots of things happening in our school. We are very proud of our students and the way they conduct themselves on the excursions they have been attending recently. On Monday I was lucky to attend an excursion to Barwon Grange with a Year 1 class. I was impressed with not only the student’s behaviour but also their enthusiasm for learning – and how exciting it was to travel on a bus! We are looking forward to the [...]
A Message From The Principal ‘Paw’jama day! What a wonderful sight it was to see so many students and teachers involved in this day, run by our Junior School Council, in support of the Reading Dogs program throughout Victoria. PLAYING OUR PART TO BUILD A NATIONAL PICTURE OF CHILD HEALTH. In early 2021, our school, along with thousands of others across the country will begin preparations for the fifth Australian Early Development Census (AEDC). The AEDC gives us a national picture of the development, health and wellbeing of children in their first year of full-time school. Since [...]
A Message From The Principal Welcome back to Term 2! We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday break and enjoyed some of the warm weather over the Easter weekend. Every term is a busy one and like all terms we have lots happening this term. As well as the wonderful learning taking place in the classrooms we have – excursions to Scienceworks, Year 3 – 6 Athletics at Landy Field, District Cross Country, Winter Lightning Premiership, MLU Camp, NAPLAN (Year 3 & 5), reports go home and much more! Keep an eye on the ‘dates’ section of the [...]
A Message From The Principal We have come to the end of term 1. It has been such a treat to have an (mostly) uninterrupted Term 1. All the students have settled into the new year with ease and have achieved so much. It has been a joy to get to know all of our new Prep students this term. This morning I have walked through our classrooms and observed the wonderful work being undertaken by our students and would like to acknowledge all of the hard work put in by our amazing teachers. I also enjoyed seeing all [...]
A Message From The Principal There are less than two weeks to go of Term 1 – how the term has flown! This week our Preps had their first full week of school. We have some very tired, yet happy students! ASSEMBLY News this week from the Department of Education now allow us to hold whole school assemblies. We will be holding assemblies without parents present this term, however next term we hope (fingers crossed there are no more Covid interruptions) to welcome parents to our assemblies. LIGHTNING PREMERSHIP Our year five and six students [...]
A Message From The Principal We are more than half way through Term 1. Apart from our little 'hiccup' with the 'circuit breaker lockdown' it has been wonderful to have all the students at school and enjoying a normal routine. TENNIS We would like to congratulate our students who attended the tennis tournament last Friday. They all did a wonderful job, representing our school with pride. Two of our students have made it through to the next level – we congratulate them on their efforts. LONG WEEKEND This weekend is the Labour Day long weekend. [...]
A Message From The Principal Well, what a week we have had. We all survived the ‘snap lockdown’ and are happy to be back at school. Due to the timing of the lockdown announcement we wanted to ensure that everyone’s well-being was the focus. I personally found this lockdown much harder than the longer ones from last year – maybe I was having ‘flash backs’! All of our team leaders shared work that our students could complete during this time and we appreciate the support from our community. The weather was a lot nicer than last year and I [...]
