HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Have a fantastic break. We look forward to seeing all of the students next year – Friday 29th January, 2021

A Message From The Principal

The 2020 school year has been a year like no other. The ups and downs of this year have been extreme but what has particularly stood out is the Bellaire Communities support and resilience during this time.

It was definitely a team effort between the school, teachers and parents this year – different to any previously. The staff appreciated all the support provided by our parents during Remote Learning. I recently had end of year meetings with all staff and the one reoccurring theme was the positive relationships built with families during Remote Learning through phone calls and Webex meetings.

The student’s resilience has been amazing in this constantly changing world. This term it has been a pleasure to have the students at the school the whole term and see their smiling faces every day. The students are amazing, their ability to adjust to the changes and continue to learn and grow is a joy to see.

It was certainly a challenging year to lead a school during this uncertain time but the strength of the team around me ensured that we were able to adjust to the ever-changing decisions that were being made by the Victorian Government and the Department of Education.

We cross our fingers that 2021 brings back some normality to Education and ‘life’. Over the holidays we will ensure that we post any updates that may occur.

THANK YOU AND GOODBYE – Last week we said thank you and goodbye to Miss Morris. This week it is time to say thank you and goodbye to Mr Chapman. Mr Chapman is moving back home next year and we wish him all the very best for the future.

FIRST DAY 2021 – The first day of school for Bellaire PS students is Friday 29th January. We have two curriculum days for the teachers at the start of the year.

GRADUATION – what an amazing night we had last night. The Seniors teachers did an amazing job organising the night and it was a joy to see our departing Year 6 students have a wonderful night with their family, teachers and friends.

MANGOES – Thank you to everyone who purchased Mangoes to support the school. I would like to thank the Bellaire Parents group and in particular Emma for her organisation of this.

We wish everyone a very happy and safe school holidays and new year. We can’t wait to see you all in 2021!
